Bittium Corporation changes its financial reporting structure as of 1 January 2027

The Board of Directors of Bittium Corporation has decided that the company will change its financial reporting structure as of January 1, 2027. The new segment reporting structure is based on the company’s new business structure announced today, under which the company will merge its Defence & Security and the Engineering Services business segments to support the company’s strong growth in the defence market and its long-term growth potential.

In accordance with the new structure, Bittium will report the following two business segments:

• Defence & Security, providing products and services for the defence, governmental, and industrial markets, and
• Medical, focusing on biosignal measurement and remote monitoring.

Engineering Services, currently reported as a separate business segment, will cease to exist in its current form from 1 January 2027 onwards.

The financial key figures reported for the business segments will be net sales, EBITDA, EBITDA as a percentage of net sales, operating profit, operating profit as a percentage of net sales, R&D investments, capitalized R&D investments, new orders, order backlog and number of employees.

Group Functions will continue to be reported as a separate entity, as in previous years. Group Functions comprise Group administration, activities related to strategic projects and the stock exchange listing, and the leasing of premises owned by the Group. In addition, Group Functions provides the business segments with shared services that are more appropriately managed centrally. The business segments pay a service fee for these services in proportion to the number of employees in each segment.

The company will publish its financial calendar for 2027 by the end of this year.
