Sustainability is present in Bittium´s operations throughout the life cycle of its products, in procurement chains and in the way the company creates value for the surrounding society.

Sustainability Governance
Board of Directors and Audit Committee approve and evaluate sustainability-related topics, commitments and objectives
Bittium Management group is responsible for approving and evaluating the principles, commitments and targets related to responsibility. The management team is responsible for implementing the plans and targets and for incorporating responsibility topics and corporate responsibility into the company’s strategy
ESG Board develops, monitors and evaluates key sustainability indicators and the achievement of set targets. The ESG Board’s tasks include managing and mapping sustainability risks and participating in the Group’s sustainability reporting. The work of the ESG Board is led by the Group’s VP Communication and Sustainability.
The Group Sustainability Team and ESG working groups are responsible for operational sustainability work and its coordination. The ESG working groups consist of representatives from business segments and other representatives from Group-level organizations.
Double Materiality Analysis
Bittium’s material impacts, risks and opportunities on the environment and people, as well as financial effects, were identified in the double materiality assessment 2024. Based on the analysis, the following material topics emerged:

Bittium’s operations have an impact on many different stakeholders. Understanding their views and expectations is important for the company’s operations and success. Open dialogue with stakeholders helps to develop operations, products and solutions, as well as how Bittium can purposefully seek solutions to societal challenges.
