JOT AUTOMATION GROUP PLC DELIVERS AUTOMATIC PACKING LINES WORTH 100 MFIM TO NOKIA


JOT Automation Group Plc has concluded a deal to supply Nokia Mobile Phones with automatic packing lines. The total values of the entered agreement of intent and the orders are approximately 100 million FIM. Deliveries will take place around during the coming 12 months.

The sale comprises fully automatic product packing lines, which are integrated into the end of production lines.

"With this agreement, automated packing using JOT's concept will be fully integrated into a production line the first time,"says JOT Automation Group Plc's president, Jorma Terentjeff.

"In developing the automatic packing system, we have succeeded in creating a significant new area of automation with great potential. We are now the first system supplier who can offer customers an entire production line from PCB assembly to finished product packing."

JOT Automation Group Plc specializes in manufacturing and marketing production automation for the electronics industry. The group has subsidiaries in eight countries. On March 31, 1999 the group employed 502 people and its 1999 first quarter net sales came to 27.6 million euros. The company's shares are listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
