Mobile Backbone IP Network for Army

Perhaps the most typical use case is to deploy TAC WIN as a high capacity and mobile backbone network for command and control

  • When using TAC WIN there are no bottlenecks between data links and CNR or tactical radios
  • TAC WIN combines wireless and wired connections together
  • The system has been optimized for large-scale networks and it offers significant network expansion without gateways
  • The network is very survivable as nodes can enter and exit the network and the system automatically re-routes the network
  • The network can be extended further to lower echelons with Bittium Tough SDR radios with the TAC WIN Waveform

Coastline Network for Navy

As TAC WIN supports different topologies with its Radio Heads, it enables connecting different areas of the battlefield and also communications between different branches of the military

  • The backbone network at land can be extended for example for naval use cases on the coastline by selecting the optimal Radio Heads for the purpose
  • The optimized Bittium OLSR MANET routing is supported by all Radio Heads and wired connections

Low Latency Network for Ground Based Air Defence

Bittium TAC WIN Tactical Router™

The system's routing and radio baseband processing unit that runs the Bittium TAC WIN Waveform and offers a reliable high-performance network. The router also combines wired and wireless networks together.

Bittium TAC WIN Radio Head I™

For creating a Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET). MANET is the optimal solution for troops in a relatively small area who require a mobile and flexible network. Frequency band 225-400 MHz.

Bittium TAC WIN Radio Head III™

For creating a Point-to-Multipoint network (P2MP). P2MP provides ideal solution for access networks to provide services from a link network to Bittium TAC WIN MANET. Frequency band 1350-2400 MHz.

Bittium TAC WIN Radio Head IV™

For creating a Radio Link network. The link network brings high capacity connections to the command site, or backbone to fixed core network. Frequency band 4400-5000 MHz.

RH-IV is available in two variants: with integrated beam steering antenna or with integrated fixed beam antenna and external rotator integration, depending on the requirements.
