NOMINATIONS IN JOT AUTOMATION GROUP PLC
JOT Automation Group Plc has established a separate company from the group's Global Technical Support unit, which it had already differentiated earlier. The name of the new company is JOT Automation Service Ltd, and it will be responsible for the entire group's After Sales services, which consist of installation, training, maintenance and spare parts.
Raimo Lehto, M.Sc. (Tech.), was named president of the new company beginning April 1, 1999. Before Mr. Lehto was employed by the group as the responsible head of the Global Technical Support unit. The establishment of the new company will further improve JOT's customer-oriented After Sales service. Efficient After Sales services improve the utilization rate of production lines and maximize the benefits enjoyed by customers.
Automation engineer Paul Docherty was named president of JOT Automation UK Ltd effective April 1, 1999. Paul Docherty was previously employed as JOT Automation UK Ltd's regional sales manager. JOT Automation UK Ltd's former president, Mika Kiiskinen, has been nominated as JOT Automation Group's area sales manager in Finland.
JOT Automation Group specializes in manufacturing and marketing production automation for the electronics industry. The group has subsidiaries in eight countries. On Dec. 31, 1998 the group employed 479 people and its turnover in 1998 was 399.1 million FIM. The company's shares are listed in the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
