EB DELIVERS THE NEXT BIG WIRELESS EXPERIENCE AT CTIA WIRELESS 2009

March 30, 2009 - Wireless innovation is delivered this week at the International CTIA WIRELESS 2009 conference, as EB, Elektrobit Corporation (OMX: EBC1V), a leading developer of cutting-edge embedded technology solutions for automotive and wireless industries, highlights next-generation mobile solutions - from converged satellite-terrestrial reference designs to powerful mobile WiMAX base station concepts. These innovative wireless offerings will be showcased in Hall C3, booth # 6224, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, April 1- 3, 2009.

EB empowers today's wireless value chain by designing wireless device and infrastructure modules - many of which will be shown at CTIA WIRELESS 2009. By pairing its technology assets and advanced research and development services, with third party components, EB engineers creative wireless ecosystems that focus on end-user experience, and increase customer market viability and revenue-potential. This is achieved as EB enables next-generation solutions to be brought to market faster, and with lower development costs.

With expertise in multi-radio and emerging wireless technologies, EB will highlight the following at CTIA:

Converged Satellite-Terrestrial Reference Designs: EB will show two unique reference designs for this integrated market: a satellite-terrestrial smartphone reference device and a satellite-terrestrial Connectivity Module concept. Each solutions allows users to seamlessly and securely stay connected to both the satellite and terrestrial network, and have access to enhanced mobile broadband, IP-based services and applications.

MID Strategy: Working with Intel and Ericsson, EB is creating a MID reference design - based on Intel's next generation MID platform, codenamed "Moorestown" and Ericsson's built-in mobile broadband technology. This reference design can be licensed to mobile device and PC manufacturers - giving them immediate access to customized MIDs that reflect their brand. The licensing approach offers dynamic MID market growth, as manufacturers can bring MIDs to market faster and with lower development costs.

Customizable Mobile WiMAX Base Station Framework: EB allows customers to accelerate their pace to mobile WiMAX, by offering a 'developed-to-order' mobile WiMAX base station framework - that leverages its own technology assets along with both digital signal processors and analog technology from Texas Instruments and compact, highly-flexible Remote Radio Heads from Radiocomp. Solution concepts on display at CTIA, include a deployable network node, relay base station and macro base station.

"Our goal is to collaborate with customers and partners to customize wireless solutions that elevate and add value to end-users' wireless experiences," said Ari Virtanen, Executive Vice President, EB Wireless Solutions. "CTIA WIRELESS presents a great platform for EB to show how we connect the global wireless value chain and creatively engineer wireless solutions that enrich people's lives."

The International CTIA WIRELESS 2009 event is where broadband communications come to life, with over 1,000 exhibiting companies and tens of thousands attendees from over 125 countries converging to do business, discuss innovation and exchange ideas.
