Tactical MANET

Mobile ad-hoc networks for a self-healing, mobile and flexible network.

Effective Communications for Troops On-the-Move

For troops who require flexibility in their operations and tactical communications, Bittium provides different mobile ad-hoc networking solutions.

With the the Software Defined Radio based Bittium Tactical Wireless IP Network (TAC WIN) system's Radio Head I and Waveform it is possible to create MANET as an optimal solution for troops in a relatively small area requiring mobility. The TAC WIN MANET is interoperable with other Bittium TAC WIN networks and also with combat vehicles and dismounted soldiers using Bittium Tough SDR Vehicular and Handheld radios on the lower echelons.

Bittium Tough SDR Radios together with ESSOR Wideband Waveform enable broadband data transfer, cooperation, and direct communications also between different national troops in coalition operations.

MANET as Part of the Wireless Backbone Network

The Bittium TAC WIN RH-I radio unit is for the NATO I frequency band (225-400 MHz) and it is with the Bittium TAC WIN Tactical Router and Bittium TAC WIN Waveform. It is an optimal MANET solution that is interoperable with different Bittium TAC WIN networks.

MANET for Combat Vehicles

The two-channel software defineed  Bittium Tough SDR Vehicular brings broadband data and voice to mobile troops. For MANET connectivity, it is possible to use Bittium TAC WIN Waveform and ESSOR Wideband Waveform even simultaneously.

MANET for Dismounted Soldiers

Bittium Tough SDR Handheld is meant for individual soldiers, such as squad or platoon leader.  The waveform portofolio for the Handheld includes Bittium Narrowband, Bittium TAC WIN and ESSOR Wideband Waveforms.

All-IP Wideband

All-IP broadband connectivity with optimal data throughput with Bittium TAC WIN Waveform and ESSOR Wideband Waveform.

Mobility & Flexibility

Keep your mobile troops connected in the self-configuring network.

A self-healing network that keeps you always connected with automated functions.

Waveforms use TRANSEC that encrypts all data using AES-256.

Seamless Interoperability

Seamless interoperability with other Bittium TAC WIN networks and easy integration with any existing or upcoming IP network.

ECCM Capabilities

Ensured connectivity also during electronic warfare conditions.
