CEO Introduction

CEO Introduction
Dear investors,
I am the new CEO of Bittium. Although my role in operational management is new, Bittium as a company is not – I have been on the company’s Board of Directors for six years and have seen both its strengths and development potential. When the opportunity arose to become CEO, the decision was made quickly: I think Bittium is at a very interesting stage. There is strong traction in some of our markets, and now is the momentum when we need to push strongly towards growth. I think that I truly have a lot to contribute to this job for the company.
The geopolitical situation, technological development and the needs of our customers are changing faster than ever. In the current landscape, we don’t want to be a follower who is reacting – we have to strive and be one step ahead. I want Bittium to be able to react agilely, make bold decisions and build long-term, trust-based relationships with customers. Profitable growth is my goal – and that requires both technology leadership and the ability to innovate.
My background is in international high-tech business. I have worked for over 10 years in senior management in American and English listed companies, both in product and service business. Although I do not align with all the values of American corporate culture, I appreciate their way of seizing opportunities quickly and decisively – this culture I want to bring with me to Bittium. At the same time, I share Bittium’s values, where responsibility, trust, long-term perseverance and customer focus are at the core.
I strongly believe that a CEO should not remain in the inner circle of the organization, but should actively engage with customers, listen and learn. That way we understand where the world is heading – and what it means for us. I want to bring more international product business expertise to Bittium and build a culture where things are constantly and boldly moved forward.
The same applies to investor relations. I want to be actively involved in discussions with investors and, above all, increase transparency and understanding of our business and opportunities.
Bittium has many strengths: top-class experts, competitive technology and products that are in demand worldwide. Our task is to fully utilize this potential. Growth must be based on where we are strongest – technology leadership, customer trust and the ability to react to a rapidly changing operating environment. In these areas, Bittium has a lot to give – and at the same time a lot to learn.
My own motto has long been “passion for growth”. It describes well how I approach business development – with passion, ambition and practicality. With these ingredients, I set out to take Bittium forward.

Best regards,
Petri Toljamo
