'The establishment of the representative office in Singapore is part of our strategy to get a strong market position as electronics industry's equipment and system supplier also in the remarkable market of Asia. The fast recovery of the countries of South East Asia, namely Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines, from the recession and the strong taking off of investments creates a very favorable opportunity for actions of JOT in the area', JOT Automation Group Plc's President, CEO Jorma Terentjeff comments. 'Electronics industry is in a very significant and growing position in industrial production and especially in exports in countries of South East Asia. As the countries of the area recover, the raising of the level of automation will be fast. This is due to the increasing salary costs and the need to have more technical and better quality products to the market faster than before. These factors are placing new requirements also to the electronics industry situated in these countries. This offers naturally good markets for JOT's products and turnkey solutions.'
