JOT AUTOMATION GROUP PLC ESTABLISHES NEW COMPANY TO SUPPLY AUTOMATION SYSTEMS TO ELECTRONICS SUB-ASSEMBLY SUPPLIER INDUSTRY
JOT Automation Group Plc has established a new company, JOT Automation CMS Ltd, for the supply of automation systems to the growing electronics sub-assembly supplier industry. The company will be initially based at JOT Automation's main factory complex at Oulunsalo, Finland. Initially, Mr. Jari Lotvonen - Vice President, Production - has been appointed Managing Director of the new company.
Due to commence business in Q1, 2001, the new company will focus predominantly on automation systems for the manufacture of plastics parts and foto-optics sub-systems for the electronics and telecom industries. The establishment of this company will further complement JOT Automation's total supply capabilities for back end automation solutions and fits JOT Automation's strategy to be a major global player in the electronics automation industry. The new activity fits solidly within JOT Automation's existing advanced equipment platform, products and development programs.
