ELEKTROBIT GROUP STRENGTHENS ITS OPERATIONS
Elektrobit Group Plc. strengthens its operations by diverging according to the combination plan into business units as of beginning of 2003. JOT Automation business segment gears up for the coming changes by diverging as of today in line with the new business model into Testing and Automation Solutions business units.
Resulting from these changes personnel expenses have to be adjusted as well. The adjustment measures include in total approximately 77 employees. The objective of the actions to be implemented is the improvement in the profitability without, however, endangering delivery and service readiness.
The announcement regarding JOT Automation business segment personnel negotiations has been given today, comprising in total 55 employees within the domestic operations. Operations in Germany and the USA have been reduced by 14 employees in total. Responsible for the German automotive and consumer goods electronics sales in the future will be LET GmbH, an electronics integration company, of which JOT Automation has acquired a 70 per cent holding.
Regarding Elektrobit business segment personnel negotiations concern 8 employees of Extrabit Oy.
