JOT AUTOMATION GROUP PLC'S PRESIDENT FABRITIUS RESIGNS

JOT Automation Group Plc's Board of Directors has resolved to accept the resignation of Teijo Fabritius, the President of JOT Automation Group Plc, as of January 21, 2002. The resignation was the result of different views concerning the operative management of the Group. The decision was reached by mutual agreement. Fabritius continues, however, as an adviser to the Board of Directors in strategic projects. JOT Automation Group Plc. will start to search to the successor to Fabritius immediately.

JOT Automation Group Plc's Board of Directors has appointed Pertti Tarvainen, the Chief Finan-cial Officer of the Company, in addition to his own tasks, to act as President as of January 21, 2002 until the new President has been appointed. Tarvainen has been Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of JOT Automation Group Plc. since the year 2000.

In addition to CFO Tarvainen, JOT Automation Group Plc's Chairman of the Board, Mika Kettula, will be more closely involved in the development of the Company's operations until a new Presi-dent has started in office. Regarding the financial figures for the year 2001 the Company has earlier stated that the net sales for the fourth quarter will be lower than the net sales for the third quarter, and thus resulting in net sales of less than 80 million euros for the full year 2001. The Company's profit for the full year was estimated to remain clearly negative. For the sake of clarity the Company confirms that it sees no reason to amend the estimates provided earlier.

As informed earlier JOT Automation Group Plc. will publish the Financial Statement Bulletin for the year 2001 on February 14, 2002 at 9.00 a.m.
