ELEKTROBIT GROUP PLC'S THIRD QUARTER
According to the estimate of Elektrobit Group Plc, the operating profit for the third quarter 2003 will be better than that of the first quarter of 2003. The operating profit of the first quarter 2003 was 3,6 million euros. Earlier the Company estimated that the operating profit for the third quarter 2003 would be better than that of the second quarter 2003 (1.6 million euros).
Owing to the nature of the Company's business, there are fluctuations between quarters. The market visibility continues to be short. Typically the third quarter has been weak due to seasonal variations especially within the Contract R&D business unit. Good profit development in Testing and Automation Solutions business units in the third quarter has, however, compensated such typical seasonal variation.
The Company will specify the outlook for the remaining year in its third quarter Interim Report scheduled for publication on October 29, 2003.
