CONVENIENT DEVELOPMENT OF DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS
Development framework enables synchronous recording of data and realistic real-time testing of software applications
Erlangen, Germany, May 17, 2010 - EB (Elektrobit), a leading developer of cutting-edge embedded technology solutions for automotive and wireless industries, presents EB Assist ADTF, a modular development framework that significantly accelerates the software development process of driver assistance systems. EB Assist ADTF (Automotive Data and Time-Triggered Framework) permits the synchronous collection of relevant sensor data and bus signals (LIN, CAN, FlexRay, MOST), and can replay them in real time. That means that software functions can be evaluated and validated in near-real time. EB Assist ADTF can display results both in the vehicle and in the laboratory.
Whether distance control, lane changing assistance, or night vision support, with EB Assist ADTF, the development of driver assistance systems is render easier by testing software functions in realistic scenarios. Developers use a graphical user interface to create functions for convenience or safety applications, select alternative configurations, and easily extend them by dragging modules from the component library. The arrangement can be tested immediately with real data.
The open interfaces of the Software Development Kit (SDK) allow quick integration of additional modules and simple access to previously developed functions. The binary format ensures both their easy interchangeability and comprehensive IP protection. An extension module library already containing a number of filters, add-ons, and functional components can thus be extended as needed and used conveniently and risk-free even across departmental and company boundaries.
As a sales partner of Audi Electronics Venture GmbH (AEV), EB provides comprehensive customer support from installation to development support services. In the past year, numerous projects have already been completed with EB Assist ADTF. Many years of experience make EB a competent, reliable partner for automotive software development.
